Obtaining openSUSE 13.1: Difference between revisions

openSUSE 13.1 is available from the following locations:

http://www.opensuse.org/en and then click the 'Get it' button.
- 4.7GB DVD installation - this is the most common download option and needed for conventional installations. (Direct/Torrent)
- Live-CD - useful for testing the distribution and is also very handy for recovery too as there is no repair system anymore. (Direct/Torrent)
- Network installation - installs the system from an internet repository or network repository. Only use with hard-wired Ethernet machines! Wireless cards can be very hard to set up if at all possible. (Direct only)

If I have already downloaded an ISO, they are currently available at \\thinkserver\Build\CD Images\ via Samba/Windows File share.
These downloads are obviously in the ISO format. These need burning to a CD/DVD, depending on which format you download. The image itself needs burning, not the image file. For more information, see Burning a CD/DVD image.

These should be available during the lifetime of the system version:
